Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How Could God Possibly Love Me ?
A. God loves you because you are His, and He created you in His image (Gen 1: 27) “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female he created them…” We are all, every human, created in God’s image we bare a divine resemblance, God created us to have fellowship with Him, but God did not desire robots that could not make decisions for themselves, He desired a people that would choose to serve and love Him, but rather we chose instead to serve and love ourselves at that point in history sin entered the world, and where there is sin there is death…Romans
5: 12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
God did not leave us to pay for our sin alone because He loved you so much He created another way,
Romans 6: 23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
The sin and trespass that we committed had to be paid for so God paid for it through His Son Jesus Christ, God loved you so much that He died for you…
John 3: 16-18
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
Your sin is paid for by the blood of Christ if you accept His sacrifice for you, either we accept the sacrifice of Jesus or we pay the sacrifice ourselves…if we pay the sacrifice ourselves then we will pay in death not only physically but spiritually for eternity…
Psalm 19: 17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
Revelation 20: 14, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
Mark 9: 47-48, “And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
We can sometimes wonder if God loves us but we must remember He loves us so much that He was willing to pay the price for us but we must accept His sacrifice…
1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Revelation 3: 5, “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”
Romans 10: 9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Phillipians 2: 11, “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Romans 8: 1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
Revelation 21: 3-4, “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Everyone has done things that we are not proud of but Jesus is willing to pay for your sin if you only accept Him into your life,
Romans 5: 6-10
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”
