Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I pray ?
A. That’s a question that the disciples asked as well (Luke 11:1). Jesus then went on to teach them using what we know as the ‘Lord’s Prayer’ (Luke 11:2-4, Matthew 6:9-13). There are some important things that we can learn from this prayer. Firstly, we can pray directly to our Father. We don’t need any other person to go to God on our behalf. Wherever you are, in any situation you find yourself, you can call out to God who will hear from Heaven. We should come to God respectfully as our creator and Lord. We should spend some time in adoration, declaring His magnificence. We should always seek His will instead of our own. We can then come freely before Him with our needs and hurts. Jesus nailed the point home that forgiveness needs to be a big part of our prayer life (I John 1:9). We ought to also seek His protection as we face an evil world. That’s how to pray as laid out by the Master.
